Mike is experienced in all recording formats. He recently became the first fully certified Pro Tools 7.0 operator in the state of New Hampshire. Over the past twenty years Mike has conducted tutorials and workshops all over the state and has produced commercial sound projects for Fortune 2000 businesses including BAE and Metrobility. He has also assisted on numerous recording sessions at Syncro Sound, Blue Jay, and many other leading area studios. He has also served as house engineer at many major N.E. venues.
In addition to being one of the leading sound engineers in New Hmpshire. Mike brings to the studio and to each recording session his unique sense of sound and music. This is due, in large part, to the fact that Mike is also an accomplished musician. Playing percussion, drums and bass in a number of highly successful bands since he was a teenager, Mike has a keen sense of what needs to be added in the studio to make a recorded performance much warmer and pleasing to the ear.
Mike has been teaching others the art of recording, mixing and mastering for most of his twenty years at the studio. At any one time, Mike has several students studying independently. Many students have gone off and entered formal sound engineering training. Recently, Mike expanded his training programs to include a two day comprehensive workshop on home recording and individual mentoring, helping individuals build and utilize there own personal recording studio. Mike calls this his Mentoring Program. This program is a MUST-EXPERIENCE for any home recording artist who wants to fully utilize the power and tools available today in home recording technology. Having access to Mike's skills and knowledge takes what would normally require weeks to learn and becomesreal recording skills that you can put to use in just a few hours.
